Here are just some photos of my short orientation tour  of central Japan. From this quick tour between Tokyo and Osaka (some 550km) , I have come to learn and love the country and her people. From this trip, I am now already planning for a longer trip at the end of this year, to see more of this country they call "The Land of the  Rising Sun".       Take me back to main page
fujitop.jpg (19463 bytes) Here is me at the highest station #5 (2305 Metres) for tourists at Mt Fuji. It was foggy so we could not see the peak but still I enjoyed the trip up the highest peak in Japan.

japankids.jpg (23703 bytes) Here is a photo of these cute and warm kids (about 11 years of age) that took this shot with me at the Tokyo Sea Life Park next to Tokyo Bay. I promised them that I will put it in my homepage,  so here it is. Arigato!

japanfriend.jpg (25578 bytes) This is Masanori Fukuja from Nara City and he was so nice enough to say hello to me in Osaka and offered me his rice cake. He currently is studying history at the Nara City University, famous for history studies. I promised him that I will put our photo in my homepage, so here it is.

bullet01.jpg (25146 bytes) One of the highlights of my trip was a ride on the bullet train. Here are 3  photos of this historic event for me. It is a promise I finally kept when my late dad told me that I should take a ride at least once in my lifetime. He told me this some 30 years ago.
